Consent on Campus Accessibility Statement

Updated on October 10, 2026

Consent on Campus wants everyone to be able to read this site, understand what we offer, and get in touch without barriers. That includes students, staff, and faculty who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, voice control, or reduced-motion settings. This statement explains the standard we work to, where the site stands today, what we know still needs work, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.

1. Our commitment

We aim for consentoncampus.now to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.2 AA is the level most campus procurement standards and accessibility laws reference, and it is the level we design and test against.

2. Conformance status

consentoncampus.now is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard. The remaining gaps are all about color contrast and are listed in section 4; everything else we tested meets Level A and Level AA.

3. What we have done

  • Every page declares its language, has a descriptive title, a single level-one heading, a logical heading order, and landmark regions, with a skip link to the main content as the first thing a keyboard reaches.
  • Every control works with a keyboard and shows a visible focus indicator.
  • The moving text strip has a Pause button that appears when you hover over or focus on the strip, and the strip does not move at all when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Form fields have visible labels, the only optional field is marked as such, and the success and error messages are announced to screen readers.
  • Pop-up dialogs (the contact form and the policy viewer) keep keyboard focus inside while open, close with the Escape key, and return focus to where you were.
  • Meaningful images carry text alternatives and decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology. Links that open a new tab say so.
  • Text scales with your browser settings and the layout reflows down to 320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling. Nothing flashes or auto-plays.
  • Policies are published as readable web pages and can be opened in place from any form without leaving it.

4. Known limitations

Our October 2026 assessment found the following, which we have chosen to resolve together with our designer so that the fix fits the brand rather than patching it. Each is open and owned.

  • White text on the green and blue sections (success criterion 1.4.3). Smaller text on the green navigation bar, the “Talk it through” section, and the blue “Training ends” banner measures about 3.8:1 against the required 4.5:1. The large headings in those sections pass.
  • Pink step numbers (success criterion 1.4.3). The large “01” to “04” numbers in the approach section measure about 2.2:1 against the required 3:1 for large text. The step titles and text next to them pass.
  • Green brand name in the footer (success criterion 1.4.3). The footer wordmark measures about 3.2:1.
  • Yellow focus ring on form fields (success criterion 1.4.11). The yellow outline that appears on a focused form field is low contrast against the pale background; the field’s dark border still shows which field is active.

5. Third-party content

Form submissions are processed by Webflow, calls are scheduled through Calendly, and Pocket Codes are sold through our shop on havemore.space. We select partners that publish their own accessibility commitments, but we do not control their code. If you have difficulty booking a call or completing a purchase, email us and we will take care of it another way.

6. Compatibility

The site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile, with screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and TalkBack, with keyboard-only navigation, and with browser zoom up to 400 percent. It relies on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

7. How we assess

We evaluate the site ourselves using automated checks (axe-core) on every page and in every dialog state, manual keyboard testing, contrast measurement of the design palette, and reflow checks at 320 pixels. An assessment on October 10, 2026 found eight issues; the structural, keyboard, motion, and form issues were fixed and re-tested, and the color items above are with our designer. We review the site again whenever a page or form changes and at least once a year.

8. Feedback and contact

If you find something on consentoncampus.now that is hard to use, or you need any of our content in another format, please tell us. Email compliance@consentoncampus.now with the page address and a short description of the problem. We aim to reply within five business days and to fix confirmed barriers in the next site update.

9. Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can ask for your concern to be escalated by replying to our email and saying so. We will review it again and tell you what we decide and why.
